About SO ME
So Me is a creative community where making brings people together.
Founded by two Asian moms in Bellevue, So Me began with something close to home: our love of creating with our own daughters.
As moms of school-age girls, we have seen how meaningful it can be for children to make something with their own hands — to choose the colors, work through the little challenges, discover what they can do, and proudly say, “I made this.”
We wanted to create more of those moments.
So Me grew from that simple idea into a welcoming, kid-friendly creative space where children can explore, families can make together, and people of all ages can slow down, learn something new, and experience the joy of making by hand.
Children and families are at the heart of So Me. Through sewing and creative classes, camps, family workshops, and seasonal experiences, we hope to nurture not only creativity, but also confidence, curiosity, patience, and a lasting love for making.
And So Me continues to grow beyond the two of us.
We are fortunate to collaborate with talented makers and instructors who bring their own skills, cultures, and creative perspectives into our studio — from sewing, knitting, and fiber arts to pottery, paper craft, and more. We believe creativity becomes richer when it is shared, and we hope So Me can be a place where makers share what they love and our community continually discovers something new.
Rooted in Bellevue’s diverse community and shaped by our own experiences as Asian women and mothers, we especially hope to create more opportunities for local Asian families to connect through creativity — while keeping our doors open to everyone who wants to make, learn, share, and belong.
